Calloway Gardens Driver Needed!!!

Hey!

I know it's last minute but I was wondering if anyone could drive to Calloway Gardens tomorrow. It will be all day, from 8-4, but is supposed to be super! If anyone wants to and can, please let me know ASAP at  deni.freier@gmail.com.   It would be extremely helpful since I sprained my ankle and can't walk.

As always, thanks.

Help in Art-Again to Finish up

Thank you to Nadya Merchant and Leslie Stebbins who responded on the fly to a cry for help in art last week. I know Silke is trying to finish an art project and has indicated she needs two moms to help again on Monday, May 17, day 4, at 10:30 am-11:15 am

Please check your calendars. I'd like to get 3 volunteers just to be on the safe side. Know it is a busy time, but appreciate your help.

Hi Ginny –

Here is the original email:

Hi all –

The 2nd grade is going to Callaway Gardens on May 11, and we need drivers.  We will leave Pace at 8 and be back by 4.

So far, we have Leslie Wierman and Ginny Hobbs confirmed as drivers.

Please let me know if you would like to drive and how many children your car will hold.

Thank you!

Hi all –

The 2nd grade is going to Callaway Gardens this Tueday,  May 11, and we need drivers.  We will leave Pace at 8 and be back by 4.

We still need two drivers. This is the beloved Calloway trip--the most coveted field trip in all of Lower School!  If this is your "baby" going-you don't want to miss this last trip through the butterfly museum!

Please let us know if you would like to drive and how many children your car will hold.

Thank you!

Special Subject Gift letter - 2010.doc

Good afternoon, Debbie.  At your convenience, would you please forward this e-mail and the attachment to the LS Grade Reps.  As I mentioned, Mrs. V. suggested this be sent directly to Grade Reps instead of going out on LS News so that specifics are not available to all staff as well!

Grade Reps..the initial response to the flyer that went home in Friday folders has been great, but we still have a way to go.  Please send the attached request out in your Grade communications!

Thanks,  Susan Graham

Dear fellow Pace Lower School parents,

It’s that time of year again!  While you are busy with year end activities please take the time to reflect on the impact our special subject teachers, P.E. staff, lower school administration, maintenance workers, and traffic guards have on each of our children during the school year.

As done in past years, we are organizing a group gift from all the Lower School students to appropriately thank them for all that they do.  This enables us as a group to provide each of them with a very much appreciated year end bonus!*

If you would like your child or family to be included in this gift (which will include a card listing all who have contributed) please write a check payable to Susan Graham and either leave it in the Lower School office or mail it to her home address at 4840 Lansbury Drive, NE , Atlanta, GA, 30342.

The deadline for donations will be Friday, May 15th!   Please remember our special subject teachers and all our Lower School staff by writing your check today!

Thank you,
                Susan Graham,   404-386-4209, susanograham@bellsouth.net

*Individual homeroom teachers will receive separate gifts as determined by grade representatives.  The amount contributed for by each family is NOT shared and is absolutely discretionary.  A suggested amount is been $20 per Lower School child but any amount is greatly appreciated!

Need Helpers this Weds and Thursday

Our kids are about to start a wonderful folk art project and Ms. Cliatt needs some helpers. The kids will be sewing folk arty cats on Weds and Thursday between 9:15 and 10:00. Ideally, she would like 4-5 moms, both days, who are comfortable threading a needle. Any volunteers?

Please let me know at deni.freier@gmail.com

As always, thanks!
